Homelessness Initiative Wrap Up
Thank you to all students and families for their support in collecting eight boxes worth of items to donate to Wayside Chapel and St. Vinnie’s Emergency Housing. Students also collected just under $1000 through bake sale items for Wayside Chapel. During a busy time of year, this was a fantastic effort by Yr 10 and especially the students involved in leading this initiative: Antonia Morgan, Eva Osborn, Zoe Waterfield, Yumi Konetzny, Winter Penney, Tara Gold, Tahlia Daily, Sophia Rolon, Scarlett Meijer, Olivia Everingham, Josephine Bannon, Conor Petersen, Angela Monty, Annie Zhang, Alisha Tang, Ahnu Guan, Celine Patel and Ruby Voyce.
Representative Sport Pockets
This week, we are distributing certificates recognising students’ ongoing commitment to Representative Sport for last year’s Winter season and the recent Summer season.
Students who have completed two or more years will have received an Authorisation for a Pocket, Half Colour or Full Colour depending on the number of years completed. Full Colours require a minimum of 4 years and are only awarded in Yr 12.
Students wishing to have pockets embroidered on their blazers should drop the blazer and certificate with the Uniform Shop staff in Liggins Quad after the final assemblies, at lunch or after school on Friday.
Unfortunately, we can’t receive the blazer without the certificate, nor can we print replacement certificates before the end of term, so don’t lose the certificates!
If you have any queries, email Mr Gray jgray@redlands.nsw.edu.au or drop by the Students Services Centre.
Racers’ Camp at High Country Campus
Over this term break, Redlands Winter Sports Program is offering a 10-day residential camp experience for students involving ski lessons, races during the day and downtime at High Country Campus in the evening. The following Yr 10 students are off to ski and take advantage of this opportunity this holiday and we wish them a fantastic time: Sierra Allen, Noah Berbic, William de Saxe and Charlotte Hugman.
Yr 10 Steps Up Participation at the Athletics Carnival
Yesterday, the involvement from Yr 10 was impressive! Few students were in the stands as everyone found their event to participate in at the Athletics Carnival. Congratulations and well-deserved mentions will be included in the first Note Day for Term 3. Below are some incredible memories from the last two carnivals.
Student Acknowledgements and Congratulations
Congratulations to Jess Van Extel who represented CIS for the State in Newcastle for Hockey!
We wish Kiana Walsh-Buckley all the best as she begins a new adventure at an IB school in Switzerland. She has been an incredible addition to our cohort for this past year and she will be missed!
Best of luck to Alissandra Braden as she competes at the World Sailing Competition in Portugal next term after placing first at the Metropolitan Championships and winning the RSYS Summer Race series. Good luck to Alissandra! We look forward to updates and sharing her accomplishments when she returns.
We wish Daisy Thomas a fantastic Term 3 as she continues to compete at a high level throughout the winter season and continuing her academic studies through Snowy Mountains Grammar School. We look forward to updates and celebrating her accomplishments throughout Term 3 and welcoming her back in Term 4. Good luck to Daisy!
