Drama and Theatre
“ All the worlds a stage and all the men are merely players” William Shakespeare
Last night we held the annual Shakespeare Performance Evening. It was a celebration of his words and the timeless nature of theatre. To be able to hold performances in a live theatre space is always an invigorating experience and would like to congratulate all involved.
I would also like to congratulate everyone on making it to the end of Term 2. It has been great to see all the amazing achievements students have accomplished over the last semester and we look forward to Term 3.

Extra-subject Drama and Theatre
Classes are going well. If you want to enrol your child please contact drama@redlands.nsw.edu.au. Some classes are at capacity and have a waitlist.
A few reminders below:
The Extra Subject Drama and Theatre Program automatically renews at the end of Semester 1. Parents do not need to contact the drama office unless they wish to change their enrolment. Billing takes place prior to the commencement of Semester 2. Four weeks’ written notice to drama@redlands.nsw.du.au is required if you wish to withdraw from the program.
Please communicate with your child about their extra-curricular classes in the morning. We have had cases where students are in the car line or their designated pick-up spot and have needed to be located before class starts. Please ensure any absences are sent to drama@redlands.nsw.edu or your child’s class tutor prior to the lesson.
Highlight of the Week: Redlands House Creative Kids Tuesday Class Today we played Pirates.

Highlight of the Week: Yr 1 Acting
This week we played different characters based on an emotion.
Highlight of the Week: Yr 7 & 8 Acting
Today we explored fractured fairy tales and put traditional stories into a modern context. We worked on our focus and developed our physical and vocal performance skills by heightening our character.
