CIS Cross Country Results

On Wednesday 8 June, Redlands fielded a competitive Cross Country team for the CIS Carnival, which was held at the Sydney Motor Sport Park. The clear blue skies and structured race course made for perfect conditions. Please congratulate the following Yr 7 students on their strong races and results:  

  • Finn Gurney – 12 Years Boys, 3k – 9th place (Qualified for NSW All Schools Cross Country)
  • Nicholas Meagher – 12 Years Boys, 3k – 37th place

Year Group Photograph

Yesterday morning, we gathered in the Fahl Garden for the Yr 7 Year Group Photograph. Despite the chilly conditions, Yr 7 were well behaved and all smiles. It was heartening that the photographers made a special point of stating how well-mannered the group were. 

Yr 7 Rock Band Performs at the Yrs 7-9 Assembly

A highlight for all this week was watching one of our Yr 7 Rock Bands cover Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit at the Yrs 7-9 Assembly last Tuesday. Undoubtedly,  we have a wonderful array of music talent within the cohort and we all delighted in this opportunity to see our Yr 7s rock out.

Homelessness Awareness and Donation Collection for Wayside Chapel

In these last few weeks of term, a dedicated crew of Yr 10 students have been planning a service initiative for a monetary and goods collection for The Wayside Chapel. The Wayside Chapel is a charity and parish mission of the Uniting Church in Australia in the Potts Point area of Sydney.

How Can You Help?

  • Donate an item for collection by dropping it at the front or back entrance to school starting Monday 6 June to Friday 17 June between 8:00am and 8:15am.
  • Purchase a delicious baked good at the Bake Sale Friday 10 June @ Lunch
  • Donation Items: Canned food/non-perishable food, water bottles, chapstick, band aids – pack of 10, gloves, socks, sunscreen, tissues, toothbrush +  toothpaste + mouthwash, wet-wipes, menstrual products, nail-clippers, comb/brush or flashlight
