CIS Cross Country Results
On Wednesday 8th June, Redlands fielded a competitive Cross-Country team for the CIS carnival, which was held at the Sydney Motor Sport Park. The clear blue skies and structured race course made for perfect conditions. Please congratulate the following Year 8 students on their strong races and results:
- Amber Kusano – 14 years girls 4k – 14th place
- Landon Mansell – 14 years boys 4k – 38th place
Gratitude
This term in our Yr 8 Pastoral Program we have been considering how practising an attitude of gratitude might help to tackle upcoming assessment tasks, tricky friendship situations and the many pressures of life. Students have been brainstorming the practical ways that they might manifest gratitude in their everyday life.
Homelessness Awareness and Donation Collection for Wayside Chapel and Vinnie’s Family Crisis Accommodation
In these last few weeks of term, a dedicated crew of Yr 10 students have been planning a service initiative for a monetary and goods collection for The Wayside Chapel. The Wayside Chapel is a charity and parish mission of the Uniting Church in Australia in the Potts Point area of Sydney. Vinnie’s Family Crisis Accommodations helps by collecting items for families and single women who have been displaced.
How can you help?
- Donate an item for collection by dropping it at the front or back entrance to school starting Monday 6 June to Friday 17 June between 8:00am and 8:15am. They will be collecting from Week 7 to Week 8.
- Purchase a delicious baked good at the Bake Sale Friday 10 June @ Lunch

Canned food/non-perishable food, water bottles, chapstick, band aids – pack of 10, gloves, socks, sunscreen, tissues, toothbrush + toothpaste + mouthwash, wet-wipes, menstrual products, nail-clippers, comb/brush or flashlight, cooking spoons, spatulas, graters, can openers, chopping boards, saucepans and frypans
