Subject Selection Process Update
Thank you to all parents, carers and students who attended last night’s Yr 10 into Yr 11 Pathway Information Forum and Subject Walk’n’Talk. The students impressed from the moment they entered Redlands Hall, being guides for their parents and being receptive to all the information shared by Deans, heads of department, teachers and Ms Van de Peer. The excitement and buzz of having parents on campus and a face-to-face session was also a delightful experience.
Sydney University and UAC Subject Selection Information Evening
The event will be held in Dunnet Hall on the Campus and will commence promptly at 6pm with light refreshments being served at 5:30pm. Registration for this event is required and parents/carers must register separately from their children. Please click here to register. This event will not be recorded.
A range of speakers will address important questions such as: What is the ATAR? What should you consider when selecting your subjects for Years 11 and 12? What are prerequisites and assumed knowledge? What is university really like?

Man Cave
This term, we have organised for Man Cave to present to our male students on Wednesday 15 June to support young men in having healthy relationships, to reach their full potential and to contribute to their community. The program offers a safe space to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities of masculinity for young people of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
The Man Cave is
“… a preventative mental health and emotional intelligence charity that empowers boys to become great men. [They] exist because suicide is the leading cause of death for men aged 15-44. It’s not car crashes, drug overdoses or coward punches. The biggest killer of young men is themselves. Not only that, more than 1 woman dies every week at the hands of a man and most of the time this is a man they’re close with, someone they trust. After working with over 24,000 boys across the country, [they] fundamentally believe that these statistics are preventable through early intervention programs that focus on boys strengths rather than their deficits.”
For more information, see the website: https://themancave.life/
We are currently organising a similar experience for female students at a later date this year. Please notify me at aynson@redlands.com.au if you would like to further discuss your child’s involvement in this program.
