The Redlands Spring Fair is this Saturday 15 September from 9am – 3pm. The Fair will be held on our Junior Campus. Thank you to our Yr 9 parent volunteers who have worked with vigour to ensure that this day will be a success. We strongly encourage our Yr 9 students to sign up to volunteer on the day. It is sure to be a wonderful community day with fantastic food, rides, games, markets, prizes and student performances and we look forward to seeing our Yr 9 families on the day. Sorry, no dogs are permitted at the Spring Fair.

The Second Invitation Athletics Carnival

On Saturday 1 September, Redlands competed in the GPS Invitational carnival at ES Marks Athletics Track. Redlands had a good turnout with many of the athletes using the invitational to improve their track and field events and to get used to the competition environment.

Some of the highlights from the Carnival included Beau Davies (Yr 9) running PBs in the 100m (12:08) and 200m (27.18) and Liberty Jacob (Yr 9) throwing 29.63 in the 14 years Javelin.

The Third Invitational Athletics Carnival

On Saturday 8 September, Redlands track and field athletes competed in the 3rd Invitational Athletics Carnival hosted by St Aloysius at ES Marks Athletics Track. The conditions were wet and slippery, however many of our runners still achieved some strong results which will work in their favour at the ISA Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 11 September. Well done, to our Yr 9 students Amelie Archer, Samuel Harrap, Beau Davies, Riley Fitzgerald, Rachel Kinghorn and James Barwise for their participation and representation of Redlands on the day. Special mentions must go to James Barwise, who improved his time by more than 30 seconds to achieve a personal best time of 12.10 in the Open Boys 3000m. In the Under 16s, Samuel Harrap and Riley Fitzgerald improved their times and both ran PBs with Sam finishing in 27.61 and Riley finishing in a quick time of 27.13.
