Chaplain
Chapel is an integral part of life at Redlands. As a school in the Anglican tradition, we gather weekly to connect with God. This is a valuable time for students to slow down, quietly reflect and be challenged. Celebrating as a community is a key part of our time together with community singing.
While there have been some students who have supported their community by leading singing, the opportunity is there to allow more students to participate by using their gifts in music.
Recently we have had a group of students who have attended Chapel Jam on Thursday lunches in our new Music Centre. Led by Ms Amy Richardson and supported by Mr James Canfield, the musicians prepare new songs for Chapel. The students help work out arrangements and suggest possible music. This is a great encouragement to the student body as Chapel becomes a space for student leadership and great music.
While we currently have Yr 7, 8 and 9 it would be ideal to have students in each Year Group participate in the music. As the Secondary School Chaplain I would like to thank these students for their humility, service and leadership.
Students: Jade McVeigh, Katina Casimaty, Sara Vencalkova, Mitchell Turner, Sofie McGrath, Jamie Gold, Alana Mansfield, Patrick Walker, Jamison Houchell, Hanna Mitchell
