ANZAC Service – Musical Tribute
Our Advanced Concert Band, featured soloists and conductors brought fitting tribute within our ANZAC service yesterday. The Last Post and Reveille were rendered by trumpeters Charlotte Harman (Yr 12) and Will Howard (Yr 10) while members of our Conducting enrichment stream Lachlan Scott (Yr 11) and Jamison Houchell (Yr 11) thoughtfully conducted the official music sung by Sholto Mirrlees-Black (Yr 10), Halcyon Hunt (Yr 10) and Aneke Golowenko (Yr 9).
35 accomplished members of our Advanced Concert Band brought their finest efforts in tribute to the ANZACs. The success of an ensemble is determined by its parts, and the evident commitment to musical excellence was very moving. The Advanced Concert Band’s offering of The Light Eternal (Swearingen) enriched our school’s reflection time greatly and we are thankful for what they afforded us through their offering.

Studio Concerts – Weeks 5-6 (Jr) & Weeks 7-8 (Sr)
Did you know that around 450 private vocal and instrumental lessons take place each school week during the day? We are very proud of the opportunities available to our Redlanders and of the team of 25 specialists who work with us to support this exciting learning. In addition to these lessons, we seek to provide performance opportunities through events, optional exams and elective classes across the year. Our Studio Concert Series each semester provides an informal and relaxed opportunity for our developing musicians to share their progress with a supportive audience of family and friends. We look forward to confirming days and times in the weeks ahead, and to throwing our doors wide open to those who would like to join us for this wonderful tradition of lunchtime concerts.
Senior Music Festival – Friday 17 June 2022 6pm
While Junior Music Festival is shaping up for our Junior Campus, our flagship Music event on the Senior Campus, the Senior Music Festival is to be held at the Concourse Theatre in Chatswood. Just 7 weeks away, ‘THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME’ theme is proving such fun to program and rehearse, and we promise a memorable show you won’t want to miss! Not just for parents of students in the cocurricular program, this night of nights is for Redlanders and music-lovers of all ages in our community. Ticketing opens next week!
In Summary?
We look forward to a spectacular Term 2 and having you with us for the ride!
