Merry Christmas

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Redlands Prep community a very Merry Christmas. My wish is that you can find some time to relax and enjoy a break over the coming weeks. It has a challenging  year, and we have made it through together and I thank you all for that. The support from our families continues to be overwhelming and your daily smiles and waves keeps us all connected.

You all should be so incredibly proud of your children this year. Such young, little people have had to demonstrate such resilience during remote learning and to say that I am proud of them is an understatement.

I would also like to give a huge shout out to all our class parents this year who have tried so many ways to keep students and families connected. Your innovative ideas and fun Zooms were always well received. I have loved zooming with you all every fortnight and I thank you all for your open communication as we navigated lockdown together.

Sometimes when I consider how hard things have been this year, I turn on the television and see images from around the world and from areas of Sydney that remind me how lucky we are in so many ways. We are always encouraging our learners to think of and to be kind to others. They have been demonstrating this kindness with the generous donations to the Matthew Talbott Homeless shelter being bought in. Thank you for supporting the people who use this service to feel valued and respected. Families can continue donating up until Tuesday 30 November.

I have included a link to some Student and Parent mental health tips for the school holidays.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Prep Picnic Day Tomorrow

Nothing is more exciting than ending the year with a Picnic Day and no amount of forecasted rain is going to stop us from enjoying this day together. Our students and staff are looking forward to playing games, Christmas craft and watching a Science Show before eating a picnic together and watching a movie.

Don’t forget that students can wear their PE uniform and are to bring their own lunch on this day, there will be no lunch orders on Friday.

Prep Presentation Day

We look forward to seeing everyone online at 10am next Tuesday for our Presentation morning.

Please note that this is the last day of term for our Prep students. There will be no recess or lunch orders on this day.

A staggered carline will be in place for picking up students from 12.15pm.
