Community Update
As a community, we value the relationships we have with each other. Our students past and present, families, staff and members of local and global communities are valued and included through a shared connection with Redlands.
We recognise the vital relationship between home and school and provide opportunities for parents to actively engage with the School. Volunteering is a wonderful opportunity to meet other Redlands parents and to be involved with the School. Volunteer opportunities include classroom support, event support, involvement with the Redlands Parents and Friends Association (RPFA) or joining one of the Friends of Groups (FoGs) that support our many and varied Cocurricular activities.
The RPFA, Parent Contact Groups (PCGs) and FoGs all come together as passionate and dedicated volunteers to selflessly support our School and the wider Redlands community. All of the important groups of committed and passionate volunteer members highlight the vital role our wider community plays in the growth and prosperity of Redlands.
Late last week a new RPFA Committee was elected. Welcome to our new Committee Members and thank you to those continuing in their service. Many thanks to those who are leaving their posts after a challenging few years of keeping our community connected. A special note of thanks to the outgoing President Michelle Tea who has been a source of great inspiration and information for me (and the wider community) in my first year at Redlands.
Redlands is blessed with a dedicated, passionate and engaged parent and carer community and we are delighted to be working with these groups to ensure we remain connected and supported through the remainder of 2021 and on into 2022. The full list of new Committee members can be found on the RPFA page.
More information on the history of parents, carers and friends volunteering at Redlands along with the range of opportunities available to our recent graduates can be found on the Foundation page here.
A reminder that the Redlands Parents’ Prayer Group is meeting this evening from 8pm to 9pm via Zoom. Please contact Sally Swan (Mum to Annabelle, Yr 12 and Adelaide, Yr 7) at swanlsally@gmail.com for further information and the Zoom link.
I remain grateful for the continued guidance and support our community provides and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
