Year 10
Got a feeling that someone you know or care about it isn’t behaving as they normally would? Perhaps they seem out of sorts? More agitated or withdrawn? Or they’re just not themselves. Trust that gut instinct and act on it. Learn more about the signs and when it’s time to ask R U OK? Click here
By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up. If they say they are not ok, you can follow our conversation steps to show them they’re supported and help them find strategies to better manage the load. If they are ok, that person will know you’re someone who cares enough to ask. Click here

Mullets for Mental Health
As mentioned in last week’s Note Day, Black Dog Institute’s Mullets for Mental Health has encouraged some of our Yr 10 students to shape and grow a mullet for the month of September to raise much-needed funds for mental health research. Fundraising for this wonderful cause allows better research into the early detection, prevention and treatment of common mental health disorders.
I have set the target of $2000 for Year 10 however we would love to fundraise more. Year 10 this week have fundraised almost $1000.00 which is an amazing effort.
If you would like to contribute to one of the students who has ‘styled-up’ a mullet (like Oliver Stevens pictured above), please access the team through: https://www.teamblackdog.org.au/fundraiser/RedlandsYear1020215428
Our Cowper Blue Tutor, Mr Jack Gooding, is also participating in Mullets for Mental Health and has his own fundraising page. Please feel free to donate towards Jack’s meaningful cause. https://www.teamblackdog.org.au/fundraisers/jackgooding/mulletsformentalhealth
