Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy Dance Awards 2021
Last week our wonderful Friends of Ballet and Dance would ordinarily have hosted our Ballet and Dance Awards Dinner at the Manly Golf Club. Although this could not take place this year we have great pleasure in announcing our annual Academy Dance Awards 2021 for our dedicated students, and all those who have worked so hard in achieving the high standards of the Academy.
All our students have worked incredibly hard maintaining their practice and performance at this difficult time. We have selected the winners as a celebration of everyone’s efforts and dedication. Congratulations to the award winners and all those mentioned and we look forward to everyone’s continued efforts in excellence in Dance.
Ballet and Dance tutors review all senior students from Years 8 – 11 who participate in extra-curricular ballet and dance classes and vote for students in four categories: Dedication, Service, Excellence and Leadership.

Excellence: A student demonstrates the quality of being outstanding.
Leadership: A student demonstrates the ability to lead others with vision, integrity, gratitude and empathy.

Important changes to Royal Academy of Dance Examinations, 2021
RAD Graded Ballet Examinations
This year Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy had registered our students to enter The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Examinations in August, they were then postponed to November.
The Royal Academy of Dance has now confirmed that there will be no “face to face” examinations held in Sydney for the remainder of 2021.
We understand that this may be disappointing for students and parents. However to acknowledge, reward and celebrate our students’ achievements in ballet training for 2021, Redlands Academy will hold Redlands ‘In House’ examinations, online for all of our prep and junior RAD students.
All students will receive a Redlands ‘Certificate of RAD Achievement’ and move up to the next Grade/Level in February 2022.
