Transition to School & Sports Day

The Senior classes and Transition Gold (TG) had a wonderful time visiting the Kindergarten classrooms on Wednesday. The teachers read the children stories and they were then able to explore activities set out in the rooms. Thank you to Miss Hurley, Miss Sim, Ms Gordon and Ms Lofgren for this very important first introduction to “big school”. It is also a wonderful opportunity for the Kindergarten teachers to get to know the Senior and TG students before the 2019 school year. After morning tea, students moved to the oval for Sports Day. The weather was glorious, as the children rotated through activities in the sunshine on the Junior Campus Oval. Thank you to Mr Rogers, Mrs Longworth and Yr 5 students for their wonderful organisation, leadership and support of this enjoyable event in our Preschool calendar! Thank you also to the Facilities team and the Junior Canteen staff who supported families with refreshments.

Jump Rope for Heart 

The students from 6B and 5B joined the Orange Class Seniors and the students from Transition Gold for a fun and energetic morning of skipping for Jump Rope for Heart Day. The Preschool children showed persistence as they tried their very best at skipping by themselves and with their buddy.

Book Week 20 August

To celebrate Book Week the children are encouraged to bring in their favourite book in Week 5. We will endeavour to share as many books as we can across the week. Please ensure the books are labelled with your child’s name to avoid any confusion upon return.

Resources 

If you have any of the following items at home that you either no longer need or they no longer work, we would greatly appreciate these donations. These resources will be used to facilitate dramatic play scenarios for the children.
