Community Update

We trust you remain safe and well.

This week I had the pleasure of checking in with some of our alumni community to ensure they were tucked away safely, in good health and supported in their local community through family, friends or perhaps government services. It was a real treat to chat with these cherished Redlanders who attended the School more than 50 years ago. In sharing their lockdown experiences, I was glad to hear they were all in good health with a positive spirit … just missing the regular social connections they have with their loved ones and each other.  If you are looking to connect with our community for support then please reach out to us here at the School or the passionate and diverse experience of our class and year group parents, the RPFA and Friends of Groups who support Redlands families.

It was a pleasure to attend the Prep School Parent Contact Group (PCG) Meeting through Zoom this week. There was lots of talk and excitement around the upcoming trivia event. With the Tokyo Olympic Games now complete and the Paralympics on the horizon, we invite those yet to register to join in the Olympic fun of the Redlands Family Trivia Night to held via Zoom from 5.30pm on Sunday 15 August.  Registration closes tomorrow evening so don’t miss out by clicking HERE to Go for Gold with your family!

Each year the graduating class at Redlands celebrate and acknowledge their Redlands education with a Legacy Gift. The Legacy Gift provides the cohort with a unique opportunity to thank the School for its support, encouragement and the opportunities offered while studying at Redlands.  To read more on this important and noble cause, check out the Foundation section.

A reminder that all COVID-19 related communications to parents and other relevant information is posted on the COVID-19 Page of Redlands Pulse. Our ICT team are also available to provide remote technical support to assist students (and parents) and can be contact at isupport@redlands.nsw.edu.au.

I remain grateful for the continued guidance and support our community provides and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
