Students Achievements

On Sunday 5 August our Junior Jazz Troupe performed in the Sydney Eisteddfod at the most iconic of stages, the Sydney Opera House. It was such a wonderful and exciting night where they danced beautifully receiving a Highly Commended.  

Well done and a big congratulations to Rose Connell, Tali Feldmann, Tabitha Galvin, Aneke Golowenko, Alicia Green, Amber Hosker, Charlotte Humphreys, Annabelle Hwang, Emma Noes, Chloe Scamps, Alexandra To, Tiana Vatandoust, Zoe Waterfield and Melinda Wright in Junior Jazz.

Upcoming Eisteddfods

Sunday 26 August at 12.30pm – Performance in the Gala Final for Event 522 and Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Scholarship. Miss Whittaker’s Senior Contemporary class is to meet at the Opera House stage door. Parents are not allowed beyond the stage door. Hair and make-up must be completed and costume on, on arrival. The performance time is scheduled for 2.30pm

Important Notice

Prep and Junior School Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary Photos – 16 August

On Thursday 16 August, all Prep and Junior School Dance students are to come to school in full school uniform for Dance photos – students enrolled in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap or Song and Dance. The photos will take place near the Junior School Canteen at 11.10am for Prep and 11.30am for Junior School.

Appearance

Please take time to remind your children to bring their appropriate Dance uniform and shoes to class, in particular the students should make sure their hair is neat and tidy.

Important Dates

Week 4 on 16 August: Prep and Junior School Ballet photos
Week 8 on 15 September: Redlands Spring Fair. Please note all Ballet and Dance classes are cancelled on this day. There will be a small performance program tbc.
Week 10 on 25 September: Watching Week – Grades Ballet classes only
Term 4 Week 1: RAD Grade Examinations tbc

RAD Workshops (9-13 October): details to come

End of Year Ballet and Dance Concert Term 4

Week 4: EOY Sunday rehearsals Jazz ONLY 11 November – Parkes Hall, details to come
Week 5: EOY Sunday rehearsals Ballet ONLY 18 November – Parkes Hall, details to come
Week 6: EOY Concerts 6.30pm Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 November. Saturday classes will be on 24 November.
Week 7: EOY Pre-primary and Bambino Concerts – Parkes Hall
Week 7: Last Ballet and Dance Classes. Last Day of all classes at Redlands is Saturday 30 November. No Watching Days in Term 4.
