PREP SCHOOL UPCOMING EVENTS
Rescheduled: Mother’s Day Coffee Morning
It is with great delight that we invite our Redlands House, Prep and Junior School mothers back to the campus to share in the reimagined Mother’s Day coffee morning on Friday 18 June (last day of term). Please join us from 7.45am onwards for coffee in the Piazza before our Prep mums and Redlands House mums head into classrooms to spend time with their children. Please make sure that you register via the link found on the flyer above.

Preparatory School Clubs Program Term 3 Advanced Notice
Prep Clubs will begin in Week 2 of Term 3 and we will once again be using the Trybooking System to organise registration. Prep Clubs are run by teachers on Wednesday afternoons from 3pm-3.45pm (4pm for Science Club) for Yrs 1 and 2 students only. If you would like your child to take part in the Clubs program next term, for which there is no additional cost (excluding Science Club), please click here. You will not be able to access the link until Tuesday 15 June at 8.00pm.
Please note: you will not be able to register for Young Investigators Science Club without first securing your place through Trybooking. Eye Heart Science will forward a link for you to register and pay, once your booking is confirmed through the Trybooking System.
All registrations will be made on a first in, first served basis and children are required to choose one club for this term. A letter containing all information regarding the operation of Clubs will be sent to families shortly, and also options available for Term 3 for you to discuss with your child. Please book in your child’s name.
Clubs will commence on Wednesday 21 July (Week 2) and will finish Wednesday 8 September (Week 9).
Parent Helper Information Session
I am looking forward to having a conversation with our parents who have emailed their interest to be parent helpers in Prep next term. On Wednesday 16 June at 8.30am-9.15am, please join me as we talk through expectations and also go through some of the learning experiences that you will be part of in our classrooms. Thank you to those parents who have already emailed their interest.
Year 1 Unit of Inquiry: Story Telling
Our Year 1 students have been participating in a Story Telling Unit of Inquiry. Here are some of their artworks – we have some budding artists in our midst!
Yr 2 Unit of Inquiry: Connecting with our Expert Parents
Connecting with experts when we are inquiring into a topic is a rich and authentic way for our students to make connections in their learning and to understand the relevance of what they are learning. Below is a snapshot of what Yr 2 students experienced this week:
On Wednesday, Mr Fournier le Ray came to talk to us about his company. He told us about apps and the process of making them. He also told us how technology has come through from the past to the present. He inspired us to design our own apps. He talked to us about making app updates with a video about IAG safety apps. He gave us example app that tested at home Covid symptoms. He told us about how technology might improve through the present to the future.

End of Term and Start of Term Dates
Please be aware that there will be no Wednesday Clubs next week but our Prep After School Sport program will be still operating.
The last day of term is Friday 18 June. Term 3 will commence on Tuesday 13 July and full winter uniform will be worn.
Lost Property
Can I please encourage families who have lost items of the Redlands uniform, lunch boxes and drink bottles to check the Lost Property cupboard. There are many pieces of clothing there with names on them so you may just find that lost blazer! The cupboard will be emptied at the end of the term.
