A Super Blood Moon Dazzles Earthlings… and surprises a Yr 9 student!
On the evening of the Super Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse, while the entire world was getting into position to view an incredible sight, Grace Durrant was surfing. She was unaware at the time that a photographer had captured her poise on the water in the light of the moon and she became “the surfer in Australia” in a New York Times article on the 26 May 2021.
Rugby ISA Representative Form
Congratulations to Hugo Scott for being selected as the youngest first alternate for his ISA Rugby form. His coach, Jack Gooding, is extremely proud of his achievement and his growth on and off the field. Well done, Hugo!
House Spirit Fair
It was great to see so many Yr 9 students involved in events, relaxing with friends and cheering on their House in the House Spirit Fair on Tuesday afternoon. Students participated in 3 vs 3 basketball, chess competitions, dodgeball and enjoyed plenty of dancing too in the ‘Just Dance’ lunchtime activity. As students were mixed vertically with other year groups, it was wonderful to see the dynamics in mixed groups during events.
Congratulations to Mischa Barac for winning the final Chess Competition round against Yr 11, Omar Rihani!
A big thank you to all our Yr 12 students and House Captains for running such a high-energy, fun and positive afternoon to promote the school community.

ICAS Science
The 2021 International Competition and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) in Science will take place on Monday 23 August in school. This competition is undertaken by over 400,000 students across Australia and the region and is a rigorous test of scientific thinking. Participation in the competition provides our students with excellent examination practice and an opportunity to see how they fare in competition with students of their own age from across the country. Students who are interested in Science can use the test to assess areas of strength and weakness. Success at the test is a way of demonstrating aptitude when applying for Science related opportunities in and out of school.
Entry for students in Years 7-10 is voluntary. Please complete the form here Registration for ICAS before Monday 9 August if you would like your child to take part. A fee of $16 will be charged to your account if you wish your child to participate.
