Year 12
Trial Examinations
Trials are just that – an opportunity for students to test themselves in a similar context to their final examinations and learn from the experience. We are lucky at Redlands as we have enough time between trials and external examinations to receive meaningful feedback and reflect on it. There really are no pearls of wisdom for Yr 12 students as they prepare to sit their trial examinations over the next two weeks. The cohort has got a strong sense of what they need to do for Weeks 3 and 4 and have taken ownership of their approach to learning. The only advice for both parents and students is that what we focus on over the next two weeks will grow. If we focus on support, organisation and understanding, they will grow. If we focus on panic, pressure and disappointment, they will grow.
