This is Redlands
It has been lovely to see and hear how our community has been connecting through the first term of school. The Redlands Parents and Friends Association (RPFA), Parent Contact Groups (PCGs) and Friends of Groups (FoGs) have all been actively engaged in bringing our various groups together both socially and operationally.
These community meetings and events provide a wonderful opportunity to stay connected and informed whilst also meeting other parents and friends of Redlands. The School continues to work on a number of initiatives to support a personal reconnection of our community on campus following the unfortunate break in our traditional calendar of events in 2020. We are delighted to be welcoming our Yr 7 parents and carers onto the Senior Campus on Monday evening, subject to favourable weather, in the first of these on campus initiatives. This Meet and Greet will enable our Yr 7 parents and carers to meet our Teachers, Tutors, Year Advisors and School Leadership team in an informal setting to establish those connections that we see as so important in strengthening the productive partnership between home and school.
As we continue to develop further community engagement opportunities on campus, we encourage a continued connection to the significant and diverse experience of our Class and Year Group parents, the RPFA and Friends of Groups that support our many and varied community activities and events.
We are fortunate at Redlands to have a community with a strong and generous tradition of service and giving. The Foundation Advisory Committee provides the School with experienced counsel and stewardship of our Foundation Office, providing resources and assistance in support of the School’s Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan. Our alumni network, the Redlanders Association, works towards fostering a fellowship between past students whilst honouring the heritage and past achievements of the School.
All of the important groups of committed and generous volunteer members highlight the vital role our wider community plays in the growth and prosperity of Redlands and we thank them for their continued guidance and support.
As ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
