Secondary School Individual Portraits and Sibling Photos

Friday 5 March

On Friday 5 March, Secondary School sibling photos will take place from 7.15-8.20am in Redlands Hall. If you would like to order sibling photos, please click here, enter the password ‘ALLISTER’ and select Siblings Order Form before 26 February.

During the day, Yrs 7-12 Year Advisors will accompany their Year Groups to Redlands Hall for portrait photos. If your child is unable to have their portrait taken on 5 March, catch-up photos will be offered on 16 June at school or by appointment with Melba Studios, located in Artarmon.

All students are required to be wearing their full school uniform, including blazers. Boys must be clean-shaven with hair that has been cut so that it is away from eyes, ears and collar. Girls with hair touching the collar should tie it back with navy accessories (elastics, ribbon, scrunchies). No hair dye, make-up or nail polish is permitted. No jewellery is to be worn other than one pair of plain gold or silver studs in ear lobes.

If you have any questions, alterations or additional orders, please contact Melba Studios directly on 9438 4566 or email sales@melbastudios.com.au.

Student Uniform Management

Wearing uniforms with pride is an imporatant objective for our school community. It creates a sense of belonging amongst students and helps in the development of our values, especially the value of Respect.

In the interest of streamlining a whole school approach to uniform expectations, the Redlands Secondary School will engage with a two step uniform management system. Should uniform be incorrect, a student will receive a recorded uniform demerit. Two demerits in one term will result in a one hour Friday afternoon detention. The intention of this system is to establish clarity around uniform expectations and fairness in uniform management. Our uniform management system will start on Monday 1 March (Week 6). Students are aware that it is their responsibility to ensure their uniform meets expectations and our staff will continue to proactively monitor and uphold our high expectations of personal presentation.

Whilst to some, uniform may feel like a tiny drop in the vast ocean of school life, one small drop can have lasting impacts. By focusing on the little things, we can create space for the bigger things to take care of themselves – building positive relationships, reducing classroom distractions, sharpening focus on learning and allowing students to perform better academically and personally.
