Foundation

We are very proud of our diverse international community. This not only enriches the experience our students have whilst at Redlands but also provides them with a network of friends and like-minded Alumni, once they leave the School gates.

Our families often mention how the multicultural aspect of Redlands plays a very important role as to why they choose our School for their children’s education.

Many of our graduates study and work overseas to extend their educational and life experience. Pre-COVID we had a large portion of our graduates applying to study in the UK, USA and Europe.

Recent Redlands graduates are flourishing overseas, including Zoe Thompson, Class of 2016, School Captain, who won gold and silver medals at the International Science Olympiads whilst at school. Zoe completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics and Physiology, University of Toronto. In 2020 Zoe commenced a Doctor of Medicine program at Toronto.

Sonia Kalcina, Class of 2015 Prefect, Environmental Prefect, Captain of Tennis, graduated from the University of Oxford with a Masters of Mathematics, First Class Honours in 2019. In 2020 Sonia joined Capital One UK in London as a Graduate Strategy Analyst.

Nick Van Weelde, Class of 2014, graduated from University of London with First Class Honors Masters of Chemical Engineering and is currently working as data analyst for Deloitte Digital in London.

We are fostering relationships and connections as our community flourishes in the global space.

International and Interstate Alumni Chapter Meetings

Our recent UK and Europe Alumni Chapter meeting via Zoom was very successful in connecting Redlanders across Australia and the world. It provided a great opportunity to meet fellow Redlanders overseas whilst hearing Redlands updates. Our USA / Canada Chapter meeting is on Friday 26 February.

On Friday 5 March, we are hosting our inaugural Northern NSW/SE Qld Chapter meeting in Broadbeach, Gold Coast. The RSVP lists includes Redlanders ranging in age from their ’70s to their ’20s! The aim of this Chapter meeting is to kick-start stronger engagement with regionally / interstate-based Australian Alumni.
