Wow! Who can believe we are almost at the end of 2020?! It has been an interesting and challenging year.
The staff highly value and greatly appreciate your ongoing support and contributions to our Preschool program. I encourage you to continue to provide us with your feedback regarding day-to-day Preschool life, events or activities. It is this feedback that contributes to our Quality Improvement Plan and helps us to navigate through change when necessary. Wednesday Lunch Orders for Seniors
As part of our school readiness program, the Redlands House Senior classes can order their lunch from the Canteen on a Wednesday during Term 4. Ordering is done via the Flexischools website. Flexischools is a well-established organisation allowing you to easily place all your canteen orders online at any time. As you can imagine not all items available at the Canteen are suitable to be transported to the Preschool. For this reason, we have a limited menu available. Please ensure all online orders are completed before the 9.00am daily cut-off.
Kindergarten and Transition Gold Orientation Day
On Wednesday 14 and 21 October students moving to Kindergarten or Transition Gold in 2021 at Redlands will be attending their Orientation Day. The day will commence as usual with a regular drop before 9am. The children will be accompanied to the Kindergarten rooms by the Redlands House staff. The children will have the opportunity to explore the classrooms and playground before returning to the Preschool for morning tea.
Students who are leaving Redlands at the conclusion of 2020 will remain at Redlands House on this day and participate in a variety of experiences and activities.
New PE Uniform/New Redlands House Uniform
We are delighted to announce that we will be introducing an updated uniform for Redlands House students from the start of Term 4.
Feedback from the last Uniform survey identified a number of quality and styling issues with the current Redlands House uniform, especially the quality of the yellow polo shirts, which have been addressed with the updated uniform. The new uniform is made from UltraDry fabric which is super lightweight, breathable, moisture absorbent, quick drying and has UV protection. The styling reflects the school tracksuit and there are the following styling/fit options:
Tops: unisex and girls. There is also a long sleeve option for Redlands House students.
Shorts: unisex
Please note that the skort for girls did not require updating.
The new PE uniforms will be available for purchase from the Uniform Shop at the start of Term 4.
We request that from the beginning of 2022, all Redlands House students are in the new Redlands House uniform – in the meantime, students may continue to wear their current uniform.
