Year 7
Science Week
Week 5 was exciting celebrating National Science Week, the theme, Deep Blue: Innovation for the future of our oceans. From the Yr 7 Quiz to a Paper Plane competition, Science was ever present and represented. The Paper Plane competition was awesome, and the task was to try and make a plane from a single sheet of A4 paper that would fly the furthest distance or stay in the air the longest time. All students had a great (and socially distant) time, with the winners being awarded some wonderful Science prizes. The winners in the Junior division (Yrs 7-9) were Jack Forrest (longest distance) and Lucile Thompson (longest time aloft). Students also explored Nature Is Speaking – Harrison Ford is The Ocean.
Visual Arts
This week, Yr 7 went on a tour of the Yr 12 Visual Arts display. The talent amongst our seniors is extraordinary and we wish them every success in their upcoming HSC/IB examinations.
