A number of students enjoyed a workshop with Morgan Te Oka, the Cronulla Sharks Wellbeing Manager. Attendees were given an insight into becoming a High-Performance human being, with a focus on building techniques and bettering the way we respond to outside stressors.
Students also took part in a number of field sessions, where they further developed their skills ahead of round one of the summer ISA season next Saturday the 22 October.

Rowing
Over the holidays the majority of our Rowing students took advantage of the optional holiday sessions with a combination of on water and land training on offer. We had students in single sculls on water sessions wherever possible to help develop their skills even further and to launch them into Term 4.
The senior program returned to Berry for its annual Sculling Rowing Camp. We have been unable to return to Berry for some time with bush fires and Covid related issues meaning that for many of our students this was their first time rowing at the venue.
The weather did not hold back with some wet and, at times, challenging sessions however the seniors displayed great resilience and trained well in all conditions. It was also great to see the three Year Groups (Yrs 9, 10 & 11) come together as a singular senior program lead by their respective captains Briar Carter (Yr 11) and Matt Fry (Yr 11).
Students completed a significant amount of workload on this camp including the legendary 12km single scull time trial coving the length of Boughton Creek. Congratulations to our top three place getters:
Girls
1st: Georgia Verschoor (Yr 11)
2nd: Caterina Croll (Yr 11)
3rd: Alana Mansfield (Yr 11)
Boys
1st: Finn Woodward (Yr 11)
2nd: Daniel Close (Yr 11)
3rd: Pat Walker (Yr 11)
Tennis
We hope you have had a good holiday despite the wet weather! Training has commenced on Tuesday and Thursday this week and will continue as per last term for all of Term 4. Competition for TNB and NSTA will start next weekend (22 October) so please keep an eye out for information regarding the draw and locations. The playing roster for the term has been released in preparation – please email the Tennis Administrator should you/your child need to make any switches.
We will be running a match play training session this weekend (15 October) for Group 1 and Group 2 students in preparation for next week’s start – please refer to your emails for details. We encourage all students to attend this training to brush up on their scoring and rules for both doubles and singles.
We look forward to seeing everyone start competition next week!
