Year 9
Notices for Term 4
Term 4 will begin on Monday 14 October with full summer uniform. If your daughter has grown over the year, please check the length of her dress as it should be no shorter than touching the top of the knee when standing upright. Please also check your son’s hair and, if necessary, arrange for a haircut before returning to school on the Monday. The hair should be neat and of conservative style, not touching the collar, cut over the ears and the fringe should not be in the eyes. Your support is most appreciated and means that the Tutors and Year Advisors can focus on positive and productive matters regarding the Yr 9s, rather than having to address uniform concerns.
Study Guides
A reminder that Yr 9 Yearly Examinations will be in Week 4 of Term 4. Examination notifications with study guides are now available for students to access on iLearn. Students will be able to download these study guides from the respective Course pages for each subject that they are enrolled in. Please encourage your son or daughter to download these guides so as they can appropriately prepare for Term 4 Examinations.
Student Music Achievements
On Monday, the Redlands Vocal Competition took place at school where many students demonstrated their talents by performing brilliantly at the event. The finalists in Yr 9 were Isabel Dong, Ashley Manovel and Sara Vencalkova, with a special congratulations to Ashley for being Runner Up in Division 2 (Yrs 9-10).
Student Athletics Achievements
On Tuesday, the Redlands Athletics team had a successful meet at the competitive CIS Athletics Carnival. Congratulations go to the Yr 9 students with their results as follows:
Lauren Smith 5th in the 14 years 100m, 6th in the 200m, 5th in the 400m, and part of the relay team that achieved 6th place.
Eva Crewes 7th in the 15 years 1500m and 8th in the 90m Hurdles.
Harry Knight 2nd in the 15 years 100m Hurdles.
Charlie Henderson 9th in the 15 years Discus.
Year 12 Final Assembly
Yr 9 members of the choir participated in the Yr 12 Final Assembly musical item, written and performed by Yr 12 students, on Wednesday.
