News

• Good luck to all rowers involved in Head of the River this coming weekend. It sounds like students had a very successful Rowing season. I enjoyed viewing some pictures of students out on the water training last week.
• I have been receiving great feedback from Yr 8 teachers about their engagement in the classroom. Ms Bryant shared a picture of her Science class, 8B, working together to summarise rock cycles (pictured). I also received an email from Mr Atkins regarding his PE class, 8O. He outlined that he just had the best lesson with his class. Students had great attitudes towards each other, helped each other and worked in teams to a level which exceeded some senior classes. Well done, Yr 8!

Redlands Musical Strictly Ballroom

Thursday 28 – Saturday 30 March

Rehearsals for the 2019 Redlands Musical Strictly Ballroom are twirling along! Energy is high and performers eager. There are a large number of Yr 8 students who would love your support. Adapted from Baz Luhrmann’s beloved and award-winning film, Strictly Ballroom has been transformed into a dazzling stage musical. The show features songs from the hit 1992 film including Love is in the Air,Perhaps,  Perhaps, Perhaps and Time After Time, as well as new songs from acclaimed artists and composers such as Sia and Eddie Perfect. With show stopping costumes, sizzling dance and classic hits, Strictly Ballroom will warm your heart and have you dancing in your seats! Ticketing information is available here.

Mothers’ Day Classic

Sunday 12 May

We hope many students, parents and friends enter this year and remember to enter as a Redlands competitor. Don’t forget to wear pink – it would be wonderful to see a sea of pink representing and supporting such a worthy cause. A huge turnout by Redlands usually sees us winning the school shield for the largest involvement from one school. Let’s see if we can reclaim the shield in 2019!
