Year 7
This Week in Tutor
- Congratulations to our Yr 7 Student Council Representatives: Cadence Austin (Cowper), Luke Barwise (Dumolo), Sholto Mirrlees-Black (McDouall) and Grace Durrant (Roseby). Students participated in training Tuesday afternoon and will be ready to support our Year Group moving forward.
- Congratulations to all of our students participating in the ISA Swimming Carnival this week! We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments as a Year Group on Thursday.
- Students are spending time reflecting on our International Women’s Day speaker from last week in identifying a strong female figure in their lives and finding their own Super Power.
- Students have been introduced to the school’s Credit Point System. Students earn a Credit Point for Getting Caught Being Good. These points go toward House points, Tutor Class points and Individual points in Yr 7.
- Students have been introduced to the Prue Salter Study Skills website and discussed their study environment at home to support learning. Prue Salter will be hosting a Parent/Student Study Skills session at Redlands for Yr 7 on Tuesday 2 April at 6.00-7.30pm. Students should have this website saved as a favourite for future use: studyskillshandbook.com.au. Username: Redlands | Password: 68results
- Learning Management Alerts are sent home on Fridays to alert students and parents of any outstanding work that may be completed over the weekend to help students stay on top of their learning. These are sent home from the Year Advisor so please contact the issuing teacher for any subject specific clarification.

Yr 7 Home Learning
Students are starting to get into the routine of checking their email and iLearn daily. Students should have approximately 20 minutes per class of Home Learning each class night. It is the student’s responsibility to communicate with the teacher regarding Home Learning completion or make up. Further information is in the Student Planner for student’s reference.
