On Thursday, Yr 7 were involved in a session looking at their ICT usage and best practices to help them navigate the demands of Secondary School. Ms Wendy Duckworth showed the cohort how to save files correctly, iLearn (assessment and notifications) and managing school emails.
We also look forward to hosting Yr 7 Parent Information Sessions – How can I support my child from a digital perspective? These sessions will be face to face and include content such as navigating iLearn, setting and managing assessment notifications, eSafety and managing distractions on the device.

Student Achievement
We congratulate Leah Chung who received a Highly Commended Award in The Nan Manefield Young Writers’ Award at the Stanton Library, North Sydney. The Nan Manefield Young Writers’ Award is for young people 11 to 18 years and is judged in five age categories. In each category there are major prize winners: Winner (1st), Highly Commended (2nd) and Commended (3rd). Well done, Leah.
Congratulations to Mia Kwintner who placed 3rd whilst representing New South Wales in the U15 Trampoline Team in Power Tumbling at the Australian Gymnastics Championships. Mia is now ranked 9th in Australia across all age divisions. What an amazing effort indeed.
Movie Night for Yr 7
The Yr 12 Legacy Gift team are hosting a fun Movie Night for Yr 7, Friday 4 June – to welcome our new Secondary School students to Yr 7, whilst raising funds towards the year 12 Legacy Gift to school this year, including a donation to the Belinda Oxley Scholarship Appeal.

Entry $15 per student includes Movie Screening “Ratatouille” and popcorn.
5.00pm:
Arrival at Redlands Hall, students are welcome to change into mufti / comfy warm clothes and bring a pillow / blanket
5.20pm:
Movie Screening of Ratatouille in Redlands Hall (1 hour 50 mins)
7.20pm:
Students are to be collected from Liggins Quad
This event is exclusively for Yr 7 students only.
A portion of the money raised will go towards the Yr 12 Legacy Gift – means-tested Belinda Oxley Scholarship Appeal – to support and contribute to our diverse and inclusive community. This initiative was launched by our Principal Dr Lennox in 2010 and currently three scholarships have been granted as a result of contributions made by our community.
