Year 12
Yr 12 Trial Examinations
Monday 3 August – Thursday 13 August
Level 4 New Learning Hub (unless advised otherwise)
Students should be on-campus at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of their examination. Students are only expected to be at School if they have an exam or sport – the Library is open but may have scheduled classes using the area as well. Secondary Sport will still continue as normal and Yr 12 students are to attend all trainings and games – unless there is a specific examination clash (please notify the Sports Department if that is the case).
If your child is unwell, please notify Secondary School Absences, Mr Atkins (YA) and either Mr Randall (HSC) or Mr Taylor (IB) prior to their examination starting. A doctor’s certificate will then need to be provided with a completed Illness/Misadventure form located on Redlands Pulse and sent through to the relevant staff member.
Catch up examinations may be scheduled at a later date.

Study Skills – Dr Prue Salter
The next videos from Dr Salter are now ready. The three videos are 10-15 minutes each and cover:
- What should you be doing now before the Trial HSC exams / Mock IB exams?
- Tips for during the exam block.
- What is important after the exams before the end of term?
There are handouts and grids and planners for each section.
Username: drsaltersgroup; password: videoseries4
We encourage all students to take advantage of this support and Dr Salter’s offer to give feedback to students on their study plans.
After the Trial examinations, Dr Salter will return for one last time to show you how to make a study plan through to the last exam using your personal exam timetable.
