Year 11

Grease, the School Musical

Wow, what a bunch of talented students we have in Yr 11! I hope you were all able to watch the magnificent musical over last weekend and see our students act, sing, dance, play in the band, as well as be involved in the costumes, hair and make-up, lighting and stage production. It was awesome!

Congratulations to our amazing Yr 11 Cast:

And our wonderful supporting crew: Bass guitar – Izaac Nisbet; Hair and Make-up – Elizabeth Holtheuer, Vincas Lapinskas, Edwina Magnus, Emma Phillip, Oliver Rose, Julia Saunders, Olivia Vigneault, Katie Wightwick.

Remote Learning Motivation

As we are now all aware, Remote Learning will continue at until the end of August. The challenge for Yr 11 will be maintaining motivation levels and taking care of their mental health.

10 key strategies to remind your child over the next 4 weeks include: 

• Keep in touch with friends
• Balance study and life
• Keep to a routine
• Prepare yourself (and your brain) for learning
• There’s no such thing as multi-tasking – so switch off the music
• Exercise your stress cortisol away
• Find the positives
• Take a tip from Grandma
• Ask for help – communicate through email/ask questions on zoom. 
• Remember the situation will pass
