Year 11

It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of Semester 1. I am sure you are all very proud of how your children have stepped up this year, studied hard, volunteered and participated in leadership positions, and become role models for the younger yr groups. I hope they all enjoy a well-earned holiday and come back refreshed for the start of Term 3 and the last term of Yr 11. This term has come to a close with the annual Year Group photo and the Athletics Carnival. I have included two unofficial versions of our photo: you will receive the official one later in the year.

We wish Cowper Blue Tutor, Nerida Patton, all the best in her new role as she will be leaving Redlands for a different school at the end of this term. We also wish Jess Howard, Assistant Yr Advisor, all the best in her upcoming marriage during the holidays and keep our fingers crossed for good weather on her wedding day. Finally, we wish Audra Olson, one of our Yr 11 students, all the best as she moves to the USA with her family and we are sad to see her leave.

Term 2 begins for students on Tuesday 13 July. We appreciate your support in ensuring each student returns to school looking smart with a focus on correct length of skirts/pants, blazers, jumpers, hair neat and tidy with no dye, and only the minimal jewellery that is permissible in the school regulations. This will enable the Tutors, Jess and I to focus on the more positive support for the students.

NSW CIS Cross Country Carnival

Congratulations to Max Rawlinson who placed 45th in the 17Y Boys 6km race last Thursday at the CIS Cross Country held at Eastern Creek. It was particularly difficult as he had to run in the cold and rain, making the course muddy and slippery.

The Yr 11 Pastoral Team all hope you have a wonderful break from the school routine in the next three weeks, and manage to spend some quality time with your family.
