Year 10

RU OK Day Mufti

This week, students have been recognising R U OK? day learning some strategies of how to keep the conversation going when someone says they are not OK, and that this could change a life. There was also a whole school assembly on Thursday to recognise the day. Friday is a Mufti day where students are to wear something yellow and bring a gold coin to raise awareness of mental health wellbeing.

Minimum Standards Testing

Yr 10 behaved impeccably during the Minimum Standards Testing this week, completing the tests in a timely manner and studying quietly during the rest of the period. Any students who were absent on either of the days will have a catch-up session early next term, with more information provided closer to the time.

Yearly Examinations

As we are approaching the end of Term 3, Yr 10 should be beginning to consider their preparations for their end of year examinations in Week 3, Term 4. Students have been using this term to learn the importance of planning their schedule each week, through the use of a termly and weekly planner. It would be a good time to check-in with your child and have a conversation about exam preparation and how they are going to effectively use their upcoming holidays to not only enjoy themselves but also begin their revision process. In Week 10 this term, Tutors will begin assisting the students in their preparation and will provide resources and advice.
