Yrs 7 and 8 will be in LH 3.3 – LH3.4 and Yrs 9 and 10 in LH 3.5. Please try to be 15 minutes early. Students are reminded to bring their laptops with them and to check the technical requirements prior to the day. Note that the Science assessment doesn’t require a secure lock-down browser. If you have any queries, please contact Mrs Simone Bryant, Assistant Science Coordinator.

Pastoral Care and Social Awareness Programs

This week students watched a powerful and poignant TedTalk by a young woman called Raegan Hill about The Power of Kindness. Raegan begins by describing how kindness breaks language barriers, touches people from all distance and unites us all, and also is a physiological beneficial to us all. Raegan dives into central themes such as honesty and humility. The talk is not only about helping others, but also discusses self-help and mental health.

Students have also this week begun working on their resumes and will be submitting them for feedback in the next few weeks. On the Sunday Project this week, homelessness and the impact of COVID-19 was one of their news reports. Tutors have shown this clip (starting at approximately 26.5 minutes into the program) to the students to help them understand some of the current issues in Australia.
