Year 10

Year 10 Assistant Year Advisor

I am delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Victoria Mukherjee as the new Assistant Year Advisor for Year 10. Ms. Mukherjee joined Redlands in 2022 as a dedicated and passionate English teacher. Her enthusiasm for both her subject and the broader learning experience is evident, and she is excited to take on this new role, offering support to our Year 10 cohort. She looks forward to helping them grow, learn, and prepare for their future roles as leaders within the school community.

Service to the School Community

In recent weeks, several Year 10 students participated in connection sessions with our Year 6 students. These sessions provided an opportunity for our cohort  to run games and activities, making them familiar faces for the Junior School students who will join Year 7 in 2025. I would like to extend my thanks to the many Year 10 students who generously volunteered their time. Their efforts were greatly appreciated and helped to create a warm and welcoming environment for the younger students.

Code of Conduct

I am also pleased to report that the transition to the new smart device policy has been largely positive. While there have been a few sanctions, the majority of students have adapted well, embracing the opportunity for more face-to-face conversations, laughter and outdoor activities during recess and lunch. It’s wonderful to see such positive changes and I am confident this trend will continue as students adjust to the policy.

As we move through Term 4, we would like to remind all students of the importance of maintaining high standards of uniform. With summer uniform now in effect, blazers are required for formal assemblies and students should ensure that their shirts are tucked in, and for formal occasions, ties are tied properly and top buttons fastened. Jewellery should be worn in accordance with the code of conduct and chewing gum is not permitted on school grounds. A reminder that any requests from staff to fix uniforms, such as tying ties or buttoning shirts, will result in a demerit. Accumulating three demerits will lead to an after school detention.

We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations.
