Year 10
Remote Learning Motivation
As mentioned by Ms Van de Peer in last week’s Note Day, Remote Learning will continue until the end of August. The challenge for Yr 10 will be maintaining motivation levels, particularly when balancing their assessments remotely this term. This week during remote Tutor Time, Yr 10 students explored strategies to increase levels of motivation while remote learning and undertaking assessments.
10 key strategies to remind your child over the next 4 weeks include:
- Keep in touch with friends
- Balance study and life
- Keep to a routine
- Prepare yourself (and your brain) for learning
- There’s no such thing as multi-tasking – so switch off the music
- Exercise your stress cortisol away
- Find the positives
- Take a tip from Grandma
- Ask for help – communicate through email/ask questions on zoom
- Remember the situation will pass
