The Redlands Secondary School has reverted to regular use of the PE uniform. Students are able to wear their PE uniform on Thursdays. Careers Testing
It was exciting to see our Yr 10 students undertake their Careers Testing on Wednesday morning. For any students who missed the Careers Test, Simone Salier will contact parents directly. For any general questions regarding Careers, Simone can be reached via email.

Online Canteen Orders
Just a friendly reminder, that purchasing food from the Canteen is via a pre-order system, Flexischools. While some snacks will still be available for students to purchase in person, the majority of meals will need to be pre-ordered via Flexischools using the app or website, prior to 8.30am. Parents and carers create a Flexischools account for their child via this link.
Congratulations Finn
Congratulations to Finn for his recent win at the Small Boats Regatta at Penrith. Finn represented the Sydney Rowing Club and came first in the Men’s Under 17 Single Sculls. This was Finn’s first time racing over 2km, and first time in a Single Scull race.
Term 1 Pastoral Program – Resilience: Reframing negativity and stress management
Our Term 1 Pastoral Program returns to the theme of ‘resilience’ with a new focus on the relationship between resilience and stress, and how developing resilience can help students cope, adapt and bounce back after changes, challenges, setbacks and disappointments.
The ability to bounce back from stress or adversity is important throughout high school, but becomes ever more so during the senior years of study as students face many transitions, and continue to manage friendships and their growing lives outside of school. Those with a higher degree of emotional resilience can handle the stresses that come with these changes more calmly and effectively.
Goals:
- To understand ‘resilience’ as a concept, and appreciate how it can help manage stressors in everyday life
- To build resilience and self-efficacy through habits of mind, such as adopting a growth mindset, reframing negativity, thinking flexibly and learning from setbacks
