Elite Athletes and Performers Scheme
If you are an athlete or performer and your rehearsal, training or competitive commitments have significantly impacted your Yr 12 studies, this scheme allows you to receive adjustment factors to increase your selection rank when applying to the University. You should research and apply if you think you are eligible. If you are unsure, please come and talk to us. Some examples are:
UAC Schools Recommendation Scheme
SRS early entry close 19 September – you should apply if the university you are interested in offers this. Apply via UAC.
UAC Equity Access Scheme
The Educational Access Scheme(EAS) aims to help students who have experienced significant educational disadvantage receive an offer to university. To apply for EAS you must be able to demonstrate that, as a result of circumstances beyond your control or choosing, your studies were negatively affected (usually for at least six months) during Yr 11 and/or Yr 12. There are different categories of EAS.
2023 Teacher Education Scholarship Program
Value: Up to $7,500 AUD per year
Closing Dates: 26 August
If your future plans include completing an initial teacher education degree or you are currently studying to become a secondary teacher (across any key learning area) or inclusive/special education teacher (K – 12), you could be eligible for the Teacher Education Scholarship.

How Does the NSW Budget Impact Children and Young People?
Tuesday 26 July 3:30 pm
Macquarie Business School, together with the Office of the Advocate for Children and Young People (ACYP), invites you to attend a special event with the Treasurer, The Hon Matt Kean MP.
The event will be hosted by Sam Koslowski (Co-Founder of The Daily Aus) and will be a Q&A style event. The event aims to provide young people with the opportunity to speak directly with the Treasurer about the impacts of the NSW Budget 2022-23, and other issues of importance – such as the rising cost of living.
Tax, Super + You Competition
If you’re a student in Year 7–12, we want you to unleash your creativity and find a new way to tell us about tax and super. This competition will not only give you an insight into the value of tax and super, but you have the chance to win a share of $7,600 in prizes. Entries close Friday 19 August.
First Pitch Competition
First Pitch calls on budding young entrepreneurs aged up to 18 to enter their best business pitch for the chance to win great prizes. Entries are open until Sunday 9 October at 11.59pm.
KSP Poetry Awards
The KSP Writers’ Centre is proud to present this annual poetry competition for Australian writers, which is free for youth to enter thanks to sponsorship from the Shire of Mundaring. Entries close 29 September 2022.
