Basketball
A huge thank you to the Friends of Basketball for supporting the zoom last week featuring Fleur McIntyre and Angus Glover from the Sydney Kings. It was great to see so many of our basketball students online and we hope you gained a lot from the experience. For anyone who missed out the audio recording has been posted to the Secondary School Sport iLearn page (Basketball) (student access only) or Redlands Pulse – Basketball (all Redlands access) so we encourage you to check it out if you haven’t yet had the chance!
Sailing
Last week, our Redlands sailors had the opportunity to compete against Cranbrook in our first Interschool E-Racing Championships. 18 Sailors took part in the championship, making for some challenging and exciting racing. Congratulations to our sailors, Oliver Noakes (3rd), Katina Casimaty (6th), Alex Gibbs (7th), Izaac Nisbet (9th), Hugo Baird (12th) and Lucy Baird (13th) for taking part in the racing and achieving such great results.
Touch Football
We are very much looking forward to returning to Touch Football in the coming weeks, we understand that there have been a lot of changes (and there will continue to be some changes) to they way in which sport will look and feel throughout Term 4. We will endeavour to provide a positive Touch Football experience for all in Term 4.
‘Be aware of your ego in good times, do not forget that the journey has no finish line. It’s a continual work in progress with ups, downs, wins and losses. The constant is never-ending focus. Focus on building good habits in your life through discipline each day.. if you have a bump in the road, don’t forget we are all human.. start over and continue to simply do your best… when things are good, remember this.. if you live off peoples compliments, you’ll die from their criticism.’
