December/January Vacation Care
If you would like your child to attend the December/January Vacation Care program, please visit the Flexischools website and make a booking using the Redlands House Vacation Care icon. Bookings will go live from Friday 8 November at 5.00pm. All calendars, information pertaining to activities and requirements can be found on the FlexiSchools website and Redlands Pulse. Please contact the OOSH coordinator, Trinetta Newbond, OOSHBookings@redlands.nsw.edu.au with any Vacation Care or After School Care queries.
Kindergarten and Transition Gold Orientation Day
On Wednesday 13 November, students moving to Kindergarten or Transition Gold in 2020 at Redlands will be attending their Orientation Day. The day will commence as normal with a regular drop off at the Preschool, where Redlands House staff will collect students and accompany them to the Prep area for the day. The teachers will tailor the day for the students, whereby they will be able to play in the playground, eat morning tea and lunch, and rotate amongst all four classes. This will enable staff to familiarise themselves with all children as they participate in the stimulating Kindergarten and Transition environment. Students can be collected at the end of their day at the Preschool. Students who are leaving Redlands at the conclusion of 2019 will remain at Redlands House on this day and participate in a variety of experiences and activities.
2020 Kindergarten Information Session and Morning Tea
On Wednesday 13 November from 9.15-10.00am, there will be an Information Session and Morning Tea for all 2020 Kindergarten parents in the Arnold Library on the Junior Campus.
Seniors and TG Concert
Seniors and TG students will have a full dress rehearsal on Wednesday 20 November at 9.00am. Please ensure children arrive by 8.45am on Wednesday so we can start our rehearsals on time.
Concert Day: Could all children please arrive at Redlands House by 9.00am. The concert will start at 10.00am and finish by approximately 11.00am. The children will return to Redlands House for a normal day. Should you wish to collect your child early, please do so from Redlands House, signing them out as per regulations.
Juniors Sing-a-long Concert
In Week 7, Orange, Yellow and Blue Class Juniors will showcase their talents from a year of Music with Mrs Anderson. This timing is shared in advance to assist with your planning. We do hope you can join us for this celebration which will take place in the respective classrooms.
Orange Class Juniors – Monday 25 November at 10.00am
Yellow and Blue Class Juniors – Friday 29 November at 10.00am
End of Year
The last day of the year for Redlands House students is Tuesday 3 December. Redlands House will close after the Preparatory School Presentation Day at 12.30pm. Please note there is no Late Room on this day. The last day for Late Room is Monday 2 December.
Mr Webber Meets Redlands House
Last week, there were some very excited Prep students who were introduced to 2020 Principal, Mr Stephen Webber. Mr Webber visited Redlands House and Prep classes on Wednesday, joining in with music lessons, art activities and playground games. The students in Kindy Orange asked Mr Webber some interesting questions which he answered with patience and good grace.

“Will the rules change at Redlands when you come?”
“What’s your job now?”
Mr Webber’s week-long visit to Redlands culminated in a weekend Executive and Board Retreat where we heard from futuristic speakers, Mark McCrindle and Michael McQueen. Their insights into the rapidly changing world was captivating and left all the educators in the room filled with possibility and wonder for the years ahead.
