Clothes and Bags
Please ensure your child has spare clothes each day. All children have accidents from time to time and need spare clothes. Please also ensure your child has a bag big enough to hold their food containers, spare clothes and all of their artworks. We strongly encourage the children to be independent and look after their belongings. It is difficult for children to pack their own bags if they are not able to fit their belongings in.
Medication
Redlands House has strict government regulations that must be adhered to. Medication will only be administered at Redlands House Preschool if the medication is prescribed to the child or if it is accompanied by a Certificate of Statement from the child’s doctor.
For medical conditions – If medication is to be administered at Redlands House, a medical action plan is to be provided by the child’s parents/guardians.
For illness – If medication is to be administered at Redlands House, a medical record is to be completed and signed by the child’s parents/guardians. Please ask educators for a medical form.
In the case of an emergency – If medication is to be administered at Redlands House, in the case of an emergency verbal permission can be obtained by an educator from the child’s parents/guardians. In the case of an anaphylaxis or asthma emergency, medication can be administered without authorisation.
Medication will be stored in a childproof medication area (either within the fridge or cupboard as appropriate). Under no circumstances should medication be left in the child’s bag or in a place accessible to any children.
