Redlands House and Transition Gold
Seniors Performance – Jam on Toast
It was absolutely wonderful to have all of the children gathered together once again to enjoy an incursion. All of the Senior and Transition Gold students attended the performance in Dunnet Hall. We sang, danced and laughed our way through the performance by Jamie. There we many smiles, giggles and happy faces. Jamie not only provided the students with musical knowledge through his practical and entertaining workshops but his fantastic original songs from his Jam On Toast albums had the children singing and dancing long after they let the hall.

Jeans 4 Genes Day – Friday 4 August
Redlands House will be participating in raising money for the Children’s Medical Research Institute. The families of the 1 in 20 kids facing a birth defect or genetic disease are used to hearing words like “incurable” or “lifelong effects”. Kids just want to be kids, but instead of playing sports with their friends or catching butterflies on a sunny day, these kids are getting liver transplants, taking dozens of medications, or getting their next dose of chemotherapy. Our support can help the scientists at Children’s Medical Research Institute find cures, so these kids and millions more like them can go back to being kids. Students are encouraged to wear jeans on Friday 5 August and make a small donation. Students are wearing Jeans to school can make a donation by following this link.
Term 4 Departure Notice
The final date for giving notice of depature during or at the end of Term 4 was last Friday 22 July. Families who are planning on leaving the School during or at the end of Term 4 and haven’t yet given notice should email registrar@redlands.nsw.edu.au by 4pm tomorrow, Friday 29 July, to avoid fees in lieu.
Allergies
Please remember that we are an ‘Allergy Friendly Centre’(i.e. allergy aware) and have a number of children with serious allergies. Therefore, we ask that any food your child brings to Preschool does not contain nuts or traces of nuts, egg or shellfish. We have a number of resources containing nutritious and well-balanced lunch box ideas available in our parent library in the foyer for inspiration. This year we have children enrolled who are at risk to Anaphylaxis in response to the following items:
- Peanuts and all tree nuts
- Chickpeas
- Coconut
- Eggs
- White fish
- Seasame
