Senior Campus Studio Concerts
Congratulations to all students who participated in the recent Studio Concerts. Our thanks and appreciation is extended to Mr Tom Andrews, Mrs Anne Marie Braid, Ms Emma Cooperthwaite, Mr Paul Jones, Ms Sandy Sin, Mr Nathaniel Smith and Mr David Wooltorton for preparing students for these performances. Of particular note, the Department was pleased to present our first ever Tuned Percussion concert featuring students on Vibraphone, Marimba and Timpani.
Senior Music Festival Production Week Rehearsals
Please note that all students involved in Cocurricular Music Ensembles will be required for a rehearsal and production meeting on Wednesday 20 June at 3.30-5.00pm in the Music Centre (MH1). With every student from Yrs 7-12 performing in the Finale, attendance at this rehearsal session is essential as we prepare the coordination of the various components of this work. Please see Redlands Pulse for details of Bus Departures and Rehearsal Times during the Senior Music Festival Production Week. Finalised rehearsal schedules will be issued at the end of Week 7.
Please be advised that food will NOT be provided at the venue and students are required to bring their own meals and snacks as required. Water and pre-concert fruit and snacks will be provided. In departing and returning to school, all students will need to be dressed in Winter school uniform. Please note: students will be performing in Winter School uniform. For your information, school policy states that students are not to drive to school related events.
The Music Department is anticipating a wonderful 2018 Music Festival and we certainly look forward to seeing you at the event.
Cocurricular Photos and Senior Music Festival Celebration
Monday 25 June
Due to unexpected wet weather last term, Cocurricular photos for the following Music Ensembles will take place on Monday 25 June in conjunction with the Senior Music Festival Celebration Afternoon Tea. After the presentation of prizes to the winners of the Senior Music Festival Ticket Selling Competition, photos will be held for Advanced Choir, Redlands Combined Choir, Redlands Orchestra and Redlands Combined Concert Band.

Year 2 Strings Performance
We are delighted to invite Yr 2 parents to Dunnet Hall on Monday 25 June for the Year 2 Strings Performance. This event will provide an opportunity for the students to showcase their learning this term. The performance will commence at 2.25pm and will run for approximately 15 minutes. All parents of Yr 2 students are invited to celebrate in their child’s achievement in Curriculum Strings thus far.
Junior Music Festival
Tickets to the Junior Music Festival on Thursday 2 August will be released through TryBooking in the last week of Term 2. Please place this date in your diaries.
