Redlands takes to the stage at Manly Jazz Festival!

This Saturday 24 September, Redlands is returning to the Manly Jazz festival stage for the first time in almost 20 years! Join our Jazz Combo at 12:45 at Manly beachfront for their exploration of jazz grooves and improvisation, then wander down the Corso to the Stars of the Future Stage where the Stage Bands will be sharing the stage with our very own Jazz Vocal Ensemble!

Guaranteed to be an amazing day – come support our kids and take in the atmosphere!

PERFORMER NOTE:

As advised, please wear your full Winter uniform including Blazer. The Uniform Shop will be receiving the blazers of Band/Jazz Vocal students for Pockets on the first Monday of Term 4.

Should weather be looking inclement on Saturday morning, advice will be posted via Announcement on the iLearn Ensemble pages by 10am. Please check your email / iLearn on Saturday morning.

Vale!

This week is a very special one in the life of our School. The past three days have seen featured performances from our Year 12 Curriculum Musicians across a range of Valedictory events – culminating in more rousing offerings at Luna Park this evening. We bid ‘Vale‘ to our graduating musicians of 2022 – many of whom already have early entry offers to prestigious Tertiary Music institutions around the country. We thank them once more for their tremendous leadership throughout their time at Redlands! Go well and stay in touch!

Congratulations to Hadley Wintle (Yr 11) who was announced as the 2022 winner of the Redlands Senior Instrumental Competition! Our adjudicator, Rosemary Quinn offered very helpful feedback for our aspiring future performers, and made the presentations below:

Always a lovely gathering of our ‘Friends’, we invite you to join us for the Friends of Music – Annual General Meeting on Thursday 13 Oct 2022 from 7pm in the Edwards Auditorium. In addition to the usual AGM annual reports and reflection of our year to date, we look forward to dreaming of the future together, and consolidating our new committee for 2022.
