Languages

This summer, for the first time, five Latin students from Yrs 9, 10 and 12 attended Sydney University’s 25^th Latin Summer School. Over five days, they undertook Latin language lessons on the University’s main campus and mingled with fellow Latinists of all ages, including Classics professors and postgraduate students, all drawn together by their shared passion for ancient culture.

Redlands Latin 2018 teacher Argyris Giantsis was also in attendance, teaching one of the course levels. Students described the event as a great opportunity, and it was wonderful to see the close bond, collegiality and enthusiasm of our Latin students across Year Groups.

Latin Summer School takes place every January and is open to Latin students aged 13 and up.
