St Spyridon Futsal Invitational
Yr 6 Boys and Girls Football teams took on schools from all around Sydney in the St Spyridon Invitational Football tournament this week. In pool round play, our boys won their first three matches and the girls had managed two draws and a narrow loss. Sadly, our boys went out to eventual winners on penalties in the Semi Final after having the better of the play all day.
Basketball
Teams
Junior School Basketball teams for Term 4 matches will be named today on the Sports Noticeboard outside Dunnet Hall Sports Office. All players will need a numbered Basketball singlet available for purchase or hire from the Uniform Shop before matches begin. Students should also wear their Basketball singlets to practice on Wednesdays. Singlets are reversible and can be used by coaches to help determine teams for practice drills and scrimmage matches.
Girls Basketball
Teams for Girls Basketball will also be named on Thursday and will be emailed and posted on the Junior School Sports Noticeboard. Girls also will need to hire a uniform singlet for matches during Term 4. The draw for girls matches will be finalised by Friday.
William Wu – State Champion
William Wu and his Manly Warringah Rep Basketball team took out the NSW Division 1 Championships earlier this term. Will features in our A team and is lightning fast, a great ball handler and a tough man to defend. Congratulations to William.
Before school Basketball training is available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7.15am in Dunnet Hall. Players from any grade and mixed or girls Basketball are welcome to attend.
