International Day

Tuesday 5 April

International Day is the day when we celebrate Redlands’ diverse international community and highlight the cultures of the Languages that we teach.

International Day Lunchtime Stalls

At lunchtime, there will be international-themed stalls to celebrate both the cultures of the languages studied and also of students’ own cultures. Students are encouraged to consider running their own stall to share an activity which showcases the culture of their country, or to sell a sweet or savoury snack which is important in their culture. Alternatively, they could demonstrate a traditional dance or musical item from their culture.

Students should express their interest in running a stall by Wednesday 30 March (Week 9).

UNICEF Australia

All proceeds from sales on the day will be donated to the UNICEF Australia Ukraine Emergency Appeal. UNICEF will use these funds to provide access to health care, clean water and education for up to 7.5 million children affected by the crisis in Ukraine.

International Food

At lunchtime there will be an opportunity to sample delicious international dishes from China, Japan, France and Spain provided by the Canteen.
