I wish to congratulate our Rowing crews for their outstanding results achieved at the NSW Schoolgirl Head of the River and NSW Schoolboy Head of the River at the Penrith International Rowing Centre last weekend.

Our Girls crews achieved 3 podium finishes, having qualified for 10 out of a possible 11 A Finals. Our Boys crews achieved 11 podium finishes in their 24 events. Overall our Boys achieved 5th place out of 13 schools and our Girls achieved 12th out of 40 schools, and 4th overall in the Senior Girls from a field of 20 schools. These are the best results from our rowers in many years.

Congratulations to all rowers, to all their coaches and Coordinator of Rowing, James Petering, and to their parents for all their support during the season.

Thirteen rowers have been selected to represent the School at the National Rowing Championships at Penrith next week and we wish them all the very best at this event.

It was an exciting day for our Preparatory and Junior School students today, with the opening of our newly-turfed Junior Campus Oval. This will be used for PE lessons, Sports training and Junior School Interschool Football matches, as well as providing space for our Junior Campus students to expend their energy during recess and lunchtimes.
