Drama and Theatre
Yr 12 Major Works
Yr 12 HSC Drama students will present their major works for Drama on Monday 24 August for the NESA external examinations. Works include Performance, Costume and Promotional Design Theatre Criticism.
The IB Theatre Collaborative projects will be filmed on Monday 7 September and made available for families to view via the iLearn Course page. We wish our students all the very best as they work towards this final stage of their Theatre Assessment.
Drama Competition
The Drama Competition will be held on this term in a digital format. Students will be competing in the categories of Comedy and Drama with contemporary performance pieces. The final date for submission is Friday 28 August with videos uploaded to iLearn. Judging will take place during Weeks 7 and 8 and the winners will be announced in Week 10. House points will be awarded for each submission. Application forms and information are available here.
Yr 11 Production
This term, Yr 11 HSC and IB students will present a series of original self devised works featuring physical theatre techniques of Frantic Assembly, DV8 and PUSH. These creative and engaging performances will be filmed in the Drama Studio and made available for families to view via the iLearn Course page.
Gala Arts Performers Meeting
Notes from yesterday’s Gala Arts student meeting will be placed here for any student who was unable to attend. Please ensure all technical and compere information is uploaded by Friday.
