The Womens’ College, Sydney University Visit by Olivia Watkinson Yr 12

Last Monday, a group of seven Redlands girls were lucky enough to experience a formal dinner at The Women’s College. We met with several ex-students who were kind enough to take the time out of their evening to sit with us, answer any questions and explain what life is like at College. They also took us on a short tour and we were able to see what a room would look like if we were to go there. It was a lovely evening with sensational food and definitely opened up Womens’ College as a very possible option for after school. Thank you very much to Ms Salier for organising this evening for us. 

A Day with Macquarie Group

Macquarie Group invites Yr 11 and 12 students to their Global Headquarters in Sydney to find out more about the Banking and Financial Services industry. All students, regardless of the degree they are considering, are welcome. To be held on Wednesday 27 June from 4-5.30pm at 50 Martin Place, Sydney. Register here.

Explore Engineering Winter School Yr 9 and 10

Sydney University are offering this two day workshop on campus for Yrs 9 and 10 students on 16 and 17 July. Students will participate in hands-on activities, visit industry sites such as Google and learn about what courses are available. Places limited, applications close 4 June 2018. Register here.

University of Melbourne “Future of Work” Presentation

Hosted by the Vice-Chancellor, this evening is a unique opportunity to hear from workplace culture experts in a panel discussion as well as a great networking opportunity. It is for Yr 12 students and parents and will be held on Monday 4 June from 6.30-8pm at Lend Lease Darling Quarter Theatre. Register here. Melbourne University will also be visiting Redlands to speak to interested students on Friday 8 June at lunchtime.

HSC and Careers Expo Free Tickets

This Expo is the largest in NSW and Redlands, along with a few other schools, has exclusive access on Thursday 31 May from 4-7pm. The expo is held at Moore Park and the Careers office has free tickets and programs for interested students and parents. First in best dressed! See Ms Salier if interested.
