Student Achievements
The Redlands Ballet and Dance Junior Ballet Performance Group (JBPG) competed and won their very first dance competition in the School Dance Group, Primary School, Any Style Dance section at the Dance Life Unite Eisteddfods at the UNSW Science Theatre. Competing against 11 other schools, this is a fantastic result as many of the students in this troupe entered the Eisteddfod for the very first time. Congratulations to: Soleil Burmeister, Rose Connell, Kira Delaney, Gigi Forster, Tabitha Galvin, Kiana Gapaillard, Aneke Golowenko, Alica Green, Rory Hobbs, Amber Hosker, Annabelle Hwang, Annabelle Kesby, Dante Minassian, Charlotte Murray, Madison Noes, Chloe Scamps, Hannah Scott, Sela Tea, Sofia Vincent, and Indyanna Rafferty (part of the JBPG but unwell on the day). Well done to all the students and Miss Samantha and Miss Maria who teach this very talented group of dancers!
Congratulations to Maria Argyropoulos, Ella Banfield, Tasman Banks, Nina Casey-Brown, Jasmine Chubb, Anouk Daddo, Lara Dempsey, Patrick Friedlander, Sienna Gray, Jacob Harrap, Saskia Jane, Faith Oosthuizen, Jade Patrick, Jennifer Psaroulis and Sunday Stephens, who represented the school on Saturday at the IRBD Eisteddfod. The students danced beautifully and were awarded 3rd place in a very tough section. We wish them all the best for their upcoming performance at the Extreme Eisteddfod on Sunday 2 June.
EOYC 2019
We are very pleased to announce that the Redlands Ballet and Dance Academy will present the beloved fairy tale Cinderella in the End of Year Concert. Cinderella is based on the late 17th century fairy tale by Charles Perrault and the magical score by Serge Prokofiev.
The ‘happily ever after” tale is on the surface portrayed as a young woman’s escapist dream. However, the sweet story is also a tale of evil, deception, deformation, sibling rivalry, the good and the bad.
Performances will run at The Concourse Chatswood on 29 and 30 November.
